After thirty-nine years in the insurance business, Morris Benezra has joined forces with the A.D. Dern Insurance Agency, Inc. and Terry Tigh. Morris started his insurance career when appointed to the Civil Service Employees Insurance Company in 1956, and is considered one of CSE’s Charter Agents. Morris was appointed at a time when CSE went public, offering insurance products to the general public for the first time, as well as to Civil Servants within the State of California.

Morris has written insurance for the people of our community with great success. He has recommended and presented College Scholarships sponsored by CSE to youth over this time span, and is a well respected Artist in our community. Morris and his wife Bea are the respected parents of two successful sons, Neal Benezra, the current Director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Seth Benezra, an Attorney in Boulder, Colorado who has presented several cases to the United States Supreme Court. Morris has been a leader in our community over the years, and his legacy is obvious.

“Morris and our Agency have worked together closely to create a familiarity of his accounts over the past twelve years to prepare for this transition,” says Terry Tigh. And now, we will go forth to serving their insurance needs at A.D. Dern’s office in downtown Pinole located at 2358 San Pablo Avenue, in the Park View Plaza. Our office is centrally located with some great restaurants. Morris and Terry invite their clients’ to come and enjoy Pinole’s Old Town Shopping Experience, with ample parking, and then drop by and visit us for a very personal hands on approach to caring for your insurance needs.
